Creating a December Daily - With Team Designer Rachel Doohen

This month, Rachel is going to be sharing a series of  process videos to help anyone who wants to create a December Daily.  She's working with the Days of December collection and is coordinating it with some papers from her stash.

In case you don't know what a DD is, it's the term coined by Ali Edwards to describe a Holiday journal/album/scrapbook that chronicles the festive season throughout the month of December on a day by day basis.  But is has now become the generic term to describe any type of Holiday journal/album. There is no right or wrong way to create and use a December Daily, it's simply somewhere to keep your most treasured moments of the Holidays. This can include organising your holidays as well as keep a diary of special traditions, recipes etc. December Dailies should be used in a way that best suits your lifestyle and crafting abilities.  They are a fun way to bring the family together as well, because they become a cherished keepsake from year to year.

So let's begin with these first two parts of Rachel's December Daily project. In the first one, she's showing us what papers and embellishments she's going to be using; the second video is a step-by-step walkthrough of her gorgeous book cover.  Here they are:

It's looking fabulous so far!  And she has so many useful tips to simplify the process.  Next week, she'll be sharing how she's putting together the pages of the book, so stay tuned!

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I apologize in advance if time escapes me and I don't reply to each comment, but I read each and every one and they really make my day!
